Aurora Wings Challenge #31 - "Black & White (greyscale) with one other color"

Hello, dear readers :-)

Today, we have a new challenge for you at the Aurora Wings Challenge Blog, and this time we want to see something in "Black & White (greyscale) with one other color"

For my card, I used blue as an additional color:

I was using the beautiful "Masked women with barn owl" Digistamp, and of course, my Copic Ciao and Spectrum Noir Markers for coloring.

Skin: W5, W2, W1 (CC)
Mask/Dress: B28, B24, B60, B99 (CC) / TB3, TB2 (SN)
Veil: TB2, TB3 (SN) / C7, C5, C3 (CC)
Flowers: W5, W2, B60, B02 (CC)
Butterflies: B28, B24, B60, C3
Background: B99, B97, B95

For the Highlights: Copic Opaque White, Copic Cleaner and Colorless Blender.

Some little gemstone stripes where added to the upper left and the bottom right corner....

... and some paper flowers to the bottom left corner.

Dies: Marianne Design (leaves) and Memory Box (flourish)

Enjoy coloring, we're looking foreward to see your greyscale artworks :-)

If you don't have a idea yet, come and take a look to the many gorgeous designteam works shown on our Challenge Blog! :-) (.... and I mean really MANY!! :-D )

Have a nice start to the new week!

Hugs,

  1. This is truly breathtaking, Karola! Such a detailed image and your coloring is exquisite. Love your mix of grey tones and the amazing blues, especially of the background. It's beautiful how you've carried the corner flowers out with your gorgeous spray and added the perfect bling to compliment the sparkle in the image. love, love, LOVE! xxD

  3. This might be my new favorite from you, Karola! I don't see this image used on cards very often as it is packed with details that can be tricky at smaller dimensions. You have colored this image to perfection with added elements in the background, such as the drapes and stars, and attention to detail like reflected blue on the white datura petals! It's absolutely delightful to the eye with luscious opulence. Thank you so much for this exquisite inspiration for our latest challenge at Aurora Wings. Mitzi xxx
