Aurora Wings Challenge #19 - "Dia de los Muertos"

Hello dear friends and Aurora Wings lovers...!

It's time for another challenge over at the Aurora Wings Challenge Blog.
Our new theme for the next 4 weeks is called "Dia de los Muertos".
And of course, Aurora Wings is offering the perfect images for this theme ;-)

For my DT Card, I used the Las Calaveras Digistamp, you can find it at the Aurora Wings Etsy Shop.

I've used the following Copic Ciao / Spectrum Noir Markers for coloring:

 Hair: E35, E37, E18, E49
Skin: FS2 (SN), V05, W2, E53, E33
Make Up: B99, BG60, BG72, C3

Skull: V05, W5, W2, W0 (and same Make Up as above)
Shirt: 100, C9, C3
Roses: BV29, BV17, BV02, B60
Leaves: G99, YG 91, G85

Background: V09, V15

I also used some golden acrylic color for adding some shimmering details....

... some paper roses.....

.... and a little bow to complete the card.

The spiderwebs you can see in the cards background layer are a Silhouette cutting file.

This theme is just perfect for some Halloween - cards, isn't it? :-)

If you need some more inspirations, check out all the fabulous DT samples at our Challenge Blog!

Have a nice week, and happy crafting ;-)

  1. Wow, Karola! Such gorgeous coloring on Las Calaveras. This was my very first AW image and still my fave. LOVE her in the purples with all of your glorious details. Amazing web in the background, too. xxD

  2. This is such a beautiful color palette, Karola! I love her in lavender and teal with touch of gold!! It's always a treat to see multiple shots of a project at different angles so we can see all the fine touches and details, like the gold acrylic paint here. Gorgeous coloring work, and I do love the spider web background, suggestive of the dark web of intrigue that this beauty weaves with her magic! Thank you so much for this beautiful inspiration for our new challenge at Aurora Wings!!
